SANTALUZ RESIDENCE-Full Home Remodel

This was an hacienda style home with a slightly modern twist. The bones on this home were good and we did not have to change the layout very much at all, just the aesthetics and the vibe. The clients moved here from the east coast and wanted to update the current home.

V I S I O N

Our vision was to update the aesthetic of the home to create a more modern vibe. We focused a lot of our efforts in creating a welcoming kitchen to maximize the usability of the space and enhance the Hacienda style of the home. The homeowner loves to bake and needed a well organized island with a prep sink, flush induction cooktop and a 15” gas cooktop, along with all the spice pullouts, and 2nd trash for food prep. The design and placement of tall cabinetry maximizes storage space and expands the kitchen upward without being overbearing

KITCHEN

BEFORE

Dark cabinets, floor tile with large grout lines and finishes felt heavy and inefficient.

AFTER

  • Tall cabinets topped with glass doors with lighting reach the high ceilings and emphasize the size of the kitchen, all while maintaining a down to earth, inviting feeling.
  • Lighter finishes brighten and open up the space.
  • Hallmark Custom Cabinets: White Rift Oak Cabinet with a custom blue grey paint on the island.
    Matte black hardware
  • Backsplash :White elongated subway tile round the window with a pewter grout.
  • Raven Blue counters

MASTER BATHROOM

Before

Heavy and dark -Closed in shower and built in tub

After

  • We did not move the plumbing around much in this one but freestanding soaking tub give you more visual space and ties the vanities  together with them touching the bathroom is  spacious neutral and elegant.
  • Shower was opened up by removing a wall and more glass adding a  large niche and playful floortiles.
  • Custom inset vanity with a hamper pull out and tons of  draw storage  Cabinets: White Rift Oak Cabinet

POWDER BATH

Before

Basic bathroom with outdated tile.

After

The striking and unique design feature is the floating vanity with a backlit 4” onyx countertop which also acts as ambient lighting for guest.

The final result

I’m going to to ahead and say it…. I’d move in tomorrow if I could! The style of the new space is playful but sophisticated, welcoming and very functional . We can’t wait for her to host in this modernized Spanish hacienda home.
